DK1219 1/2IN Round Paper Label for QL-500 QL-550 QL-650TD Review

DK1219 1/2IN Round Paper Label for QL-500 QL-550 QL-650TD

This is an excellent product and does help with many functions of my business. I can label things with specific names of fragrances and stuff like "Cotton Candy". They are also great for small items like lip balm because they fit the smaller containers. The only downfall of the brother labels is that they are not heat resistant. The way I have gotten around this is by either spraying them with matte or glossy fixative or by putting clear plastic tape over them. It would seem after a couple of months the heat and humidity makes the label fade. Overall I absolutely love the whole thermal printer though and these are perfect 1" dots to use for any labeling needs. If you live in a cooler more temperate state it may not be a problem.

Samsung Kps SRP350 Thermal Receipt Printer USB Drk Gray Ac Review

Samsung Kps SRP350 Thermal Receipt Printer USB Drk Gray Ac
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It's a receipt printer and there's no need to make things complicated. The Samsung (Bixolon) printer is simple to operate; up and running in less than 3 minutes out of the box. Comes with a driver CD and works flawlessly on Vista. Unpack it, insert the paper (drop straight in and leave a a bit hanging out), close the lid, plug in the power and USB cords, turn it on and print! The feed is fast, the cutter is clean and the print quality is good. Maybe a little light at first. With it's USB connection and driver settings, the SRP350 shows up just like any other printer, so you can literally print anything to it. You can make custom invoices like I did through MS Excel or any other program. Even graphics print well, so I'm not sure what the other critiques are talking about. The sample paper roll is pretty healthy so no need to run out and by more for at least a little while. Take note that there is no supplied USB interface cable (as stated). If you are just beginning your small business or even run a large one, this printer will do the trick. There's not much to it and there doesn't have to be!

Seiko Smart Label Printer 450 - Label printer - direct thermal - 300 dpi x 300 dpi - Serial, USB Review

Seiko Smart Label Printer 450 - Label printer - direct thermal - 300 dpi x 300 dpi - Serial, USB

My workplace uses Seiko 420 and 450 label printers to print address labels and Code 39 barcodes. As with other reviewers, we have found that these printers have difficulty keeping output alignment straight when using labels less than the maximum height supported by the printer (i.e., the 1.13 x 3.5 inch small address labels), even when the label guides are fitted to the label roll. When the printer is upright, output tends to either slant towards one side of the label and can print outside the physical margins of the label. Our solution to this problem is to turn the printer on its side. This usually helps to keep output alignment straight. The SLP 450 seems to keep a tighter grip on the labels than the 420; so the 450 is a little tougher to fix when labels mis-feed.
We've had no problems using the bundled SmartLabel software for printing single labels, though we typically use Microsoft Word or Excel to print multiple labels at a time. I've noticed that our printer technicians sometimes have difficulty setting up the label printers, but the trick is to ensure that paper size, margins, orientation (portrait versus landscape) are set properly.
Overall, the SLP 420 and 450 printers are decent products, though maybe a bit tricky for mainstream users to set up or troubleshoot. The SLP 420 is slow when printing in Fine mode (203 dpi), so choose an SLP 450 over the SLP 420 if you intend to print many labels daily, because the SLP 450 is much faster. Perhaps Seiko could move the label guides closer to the traction feed in a future product revision to help keep output consistently straight. Seiko's newest label printers are a good fit if your shop already uses Seiko or compatible label printers. Their ownership costs become competitive with Brother label printers when the Seiko printers are paired with high-capacity rolls (some of which require an external label tray).

Brother DK2211 - Tape ( DK-2211 ) Review

Brother DK2211 - Tape ( DK-2211 )
Average Reviews:

I recently finished the first roll and ordered a second. Printed all 50 feet of labels with no problems. The software Excel add-in worked well. I am using the labels out of doors and will have to wait to make a judgment about how well they last. I followed the recommendation and sprayed the labels with an acrylic coating to give additional protection. Spray did not seem to effect appearance of the labels in any way.

Brother QL-650TD Label Printer with Time & Date Stamp Review

I've been quite pleased with this printer. It's possibilities are endless and I'm happy with everything. It even work great with Arabic printing (which Right-To-Left). My only concern is that the text quality when the size is small is a little abnormal.
Other than that. Great product

Brother QL-1050 Wide Format PC Label Printer Review

Brother QL-1050 Wide Format PC Label Printer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This printer absolutely WILL print labels for UPS, Post Office, and FedEx. I have printed dozens of shipping labels for those carriers, and they come out perfectly and with high resolution. I print from my fedex.com and ups.com accounts, and US Postal shipping labels from the Endicia application on my computer. Here's how:
1. I use the Brother 4" x 100ft Continuous Length Paper roll (DK2243), so the printer will automatically cut off the label exactly where the image ends (this also allows me to add additions like "FRAGILE" or "RMA #" below the carrier's label image).
2. When the label is ready to print (from FedEx, UPS or Endicia), instead of sending it to the printer I save it as a pdf file, and then open the pdf in Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) [note: rotate the image sideways and enlarge to full screen for best results].
3. In the printer's P-Touch Editor application, I select "Insert > Picture > Screen Capture...", which takes me back to Adobe Reader, and lets me select an area of the label image to capture.
4. The captured image then appears in the P-Touch app; I select print and it prints out the label.
Granted it takes an extra step, but it has the advantages of a) letting you save the label (pdf file) - in case of mis-print you can easily print another, and FOR MAC USERS: b) it lets you print labels from UPS and FedEx on a Mac - neither ups.com or fedex.com currently support direct printing on a Mac.
I also print all sorts of other labels, and the continuous roll lets me print the exact size I want, with no waste. The P-Touch Editior has a fairly versatile drawing program, so you can design labels with custom graphics/fonts, and imported images, for many uses.
This printer is built like a tank - very high-quality construction. Nothing at all like the light flimsy Dymo printers.
Highly recommended

If you ship a lot of boxes, especially through Ebay/Paypal via the USPS, this is the label you want for your label printers. I have a Brother QL-500 and it works great for preparing our labels. Just the right size and fully USPS compliant. Peel and stick and all insurance and address info is placed on the label and with Priority Mail you get the free delivery confirmation! We just drop off at the Post Office, no wait! I have had no feed problems and really love this printer and labels.

Brother QL-570 Professional Label Printer Review

Brother QL-570 Professional Label Printer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Great label printer. Fast, reliable, and quiet. A bit bulky but the size makes it easy to change the label.
Note about setting up printer for postage:
I bought this printer to print folder labels and postage. Folder labels was easy enough but postage proved difficult. I read on a forum that you could print USPS click and ship postage. Signed up on USPS and spent a few hours trying to fit the postage image onto the label. Finally, a search revealed that paypal has this functionality. I signed into paypal and under Profile -> shipping settings set the printer settings to ql-550 (ql-570 not listed but it's okay). It gives you a heads up that you need Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment to print labels to your label printer and points to you a link for the no longer unsupported J2SE JRE from 2005 that no longer works. You do need Java Run Time Environment but can use the newer one. You can get it by searching for JRE or get the older one by searching J2SE JRE.
Then I went into Label Printing Application found under Aution Tools tab -> PayPal MultiOrder Shipping and printed two labels. Wasted about 1 foot of labels trying to get them to print. Then finally realized there is another setting inside this MultiOrder Shipping App under Edit -> Settings. I set this to the ql-550 and hit the "Reprint" button (next to View Details...) under the History tab. I wasted another foot of continuous label trying to print the labels. Then realized that reprinting keeps the original printing formatting. Had to void out the labels and /really/ re-print them (luckily I didn't have to refill in the shipping details). Very annoying experience. end rant.
1. Download Java http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
2. Create or login your Paypal Account
3. Click auction tools -> free MultiOrder Shipping
4. If Getting Started pops up click Close
5. Click Edit -> Settings -> Print Settings -> Label Printer, and choose ql-550. (Also I unchecked packing slips and receipt. Packlist comes up after printing labels and you can choose your regular printer)
6. Click Ok
7. You are done. Click File -> Create New Order
Also, turn off pop-up blocker before trying to print and you might want to change your OS's "Printer Preferences" paper size to the correct value so you don't have to do this everytime you print. The default is wrong for the ql-570.
This is a big feature for the ql series so they should have some better documentation but it is equally paypals fault for poor documentation.

Brother Pt-1200 Label Printer 1 Tz Tape Cutter 6 AAA Batteries Review

Brother Pt-1200 Label Printer 1 Tz Tape Cutter 6 AAA Batteries
Average Reviews:

I'm so disappointed with the PT-xxxx line of labelers. The problem is that they FORCE the lead out on the tape to be 1". So, by default, you're wasting 1" of tape on the front and back. Not only is it a waste of tape, but I use this primarily for printing CD labels--something which does not have 1" on either side to spare. The PT-1200 (and other models too) have a "margin" feature, which allows you to reduce the 1" margin to something much smaller--HOWEVER, the only thing it does with this feature is to print on the tape a few dotted lines to MANUALLY cut on. So, not only are you STILL wasting tape in the lead-out, but now you have to manually cut on the dotted line with scissors (the end of the label is stopped properly at the margin width you set, but is still wasted on the front). This is the second model from Brother that I will return and I won't buy another Brother labeler in the 1000 series. The PT-85 that I used to have worked fine, so apparently they made it worse with new features in the 1000+ series.
